4DFWD is adidas’ latest innovative running shoe. Combining decades of athlete data with modern 3D printing technology, the shoe is designed to move you forward.
Tokyo was brought on board by Amplify as digital design and development partner for the global media+PR launch.
We created a rich immersive experience incorporating film, CGI, motion graphics and cutting-edge interactive assets.
Backed onto a powerful and bespoke AWS environment, the experience delivered almost thirty minutes of high-definition media to a large concurrent audience.
The platform used AWS MediaConvert to create video-on-demand (VOD) content for broadcast and multiscreen delivery at scale, optimised for the user’s device, browser and bandwidth.
Our virtual audience platform handled invitations and user management. Data was kept secure and our platform prevented unauthorised downloading of highly sensitive content, with users only able to access content at specific parts of the day across three worldwide time-zones (Americas, Europe, East-Asia).
